Local Businesses We Worked With

New York
"Starting a small business can be a very lonely journey, especially in the early stages when it’s not always easy to find the right people to turn to for advice and guidance. Main Street Fellows has provided valuable support by connecting me with an experienced volunteer who helped me look more clearly at my pricing, expenses, profitability, and overall business structure. I’m very grateful for the support and perspective this program has offered as I continue to learn and grow my business."

Dear Guest Bakery and Cafe
“I began planning this neighborhood bakery with a deep passion for bread, but I had no experience in marketing and couldn’t afford the high cost of outsourcing. Main Street Fellows connected me with two seasoned fellows with decades of experience, who helped me clarify my strategy, organize my ideas, and successfully get the business off the ground.”

Our
Story
We are a group of people who love the bao from the local dim sum shop, the coffee from the corner café, and the noodles from the neighborhood spot that has been there for as long as we can remember.
These small businesses are the heart of our communities. Yet too many of them struggle—not because they lack great products, loyal customers, or determination, but because they lack access to the resources, expertise, and support needed to grow.
Meanwhile, talented people are looking for meaningful ways to contribute close to home. We created this non-profit initiative to close that gap.
